Reasons to Visit Us to Receive Laser Eye Surgery

While some people prefer to wear glasses or contact lenses every day, most people would love to be able to end their dependence on these often inconvenient forms of eyewear. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a more permanent solution to your vision problems instead of always worrying about updating prescriptions and ordering lenses?

This is what Denver LASIK can potentially do for you. LASIK eye surgery, and other refractive eye surgeries, can completely change your life, providing long-lasting vision corrections and independence from glasses and contact lenses. While absolute perfect vision may not be possible in every single circumstance, the majority of patients see vast improvements in their eyesight.

Isn’t It Better to Just Wear Contact Lenses?

Contact lenses are a common choice in regards to correcting vision problems, but lenses come with plenty of hazards if they are not maintained properly. While LASIK eye surgeries typically have a success rate in the 90% to 95% range, with very few risks, contact lenses can cause eye infections and other serious problems if:

  • Hands are not washed thoroughly before the contacts are handled
  • Contact lens wearers sleep with their contacts in
  • The lenses are not sterilized properly
  • Eye examinations are not attended regularly

Many people do not realize that contact lenses are a major commitment, and require a lot of time and money over the years. LASIK eye surgery is a viable alternative that provides long-lasting results without all of the hassle. After the surgery, you simply follow up with your eye surgeon to ensure that you are experiencing your desired outcomes.
